Oscars: Get The Look

Anna Kendrick’s Smoldering Gaze

Celebrity Makeup Artist, Vanessa Scali for Elizabeth Arden, “Anna’s Thakoon Oscar gown is a breath of fresh air. The soft coral is amazing against her alabaster skin. With that in mind, I wanted to create a look that had presence but wasn’t overpowering and wouldn’t compete with the dress. The focus is definitely on the sultry eye, but paired with nude, juicy skin, and a matte bitten lip, she looks fresh and effortless.“

Tips and Products Used Included: For her smoky eye look, Vanessa used Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Smolder from the lash line to the crease and under the lower lashes as well.  Blended it into the skin for a soft edge. Used Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Glisten on the brow bone and a touch in the center of the eyelid. To complete the look for the eyes, she used Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Precision Glide Eyeliner in Black Violet on the top lash line, on the outer corners of the lower lashes and on the water line. Followed by Elizabeth Arden Sunkissed Pearls Gel Eye Liner in Deep Sea Pearl smudged into the lash line;  Finished with Elizabeth Arden Moisturizing Lipstick Matte in Pink Pucker as a textural contrast to her dewy skin.

Emma Stone’s Coral Pout

Inspired by Emma’s chartreuse beaded Elie Saab gown, Celebrity Makeup Artist, Rachel Goodwin, created a vision of spring with a bold coral lip offset by a simple eye to complement the distinctive color of her dress. “The look I designed was a complete response to the color of her dress, which is an amazing green. I really wanted to let the color speak, but with a fun, unexpected twist, so I chose a beautiful, peachy-coral lip to complement it. Her look is soft and ethereal, with the total feeling of spring.”
