Bonding Over Beauty Product Picks

As the weather gets colder, skin becomes dryer, lips get chapped, and hands begin to shrivel.  Over the past few weeks, I have received tons of beauty products to combat the elements.  Some were terrific, but many just a gimic in a bottle. So, here are the products that I would actually add to my beauty routine and spend my hard earned money on.  I tested them for hydration, fragrance, how they worked paired with a moisturizer, and ultimately price point.  The winners were:

ASAP Super C Serum $89

ASAP smells like citrus and your skin will just drink it up.  It has a  unique combination of three of the most powerful antioxidants, Vitamin C (as L-ascorbic acid 20%), Pycnogenol and Idebenone. I have been using alone under makeup and at night under an eye cream and my skin is glowing.

Myo Essentials Refreshing Anti-Puff Eye Gel $15

This is a really cool product.  You press the bottom and a cold gel dispenses to a metal ball that you roll aover your crows feet and under your eyes.  It is perfect when you have not gotten enough sleep or when you need to go out after crying over that boy who broke your heart.

Herbacin Kamille Hand Cream $7.95

This hand cream delivers a triple threat to sun, wind, water and other environmental abuses that your hands endure every day. Its secret is in its three active ingredients: chamomile to heal and restore rough, chapped skin; vegetable glycerin to smooth and moisturize the skin, keeping it elastic; and silicon to provide a protective coating, defending the skin from everyday mistreatment.

Chapstick Hydration Lock $2.99

This is not the chapstick you remember.  It is so smooth and moisturizing, you won’t believe your lips.  Enriched with CoQ10 it keeps lips moist for up to 8 hours.  And the price is right!
